I guess just take the next dose when it's due if it's not high or call your pdoc and ask. Love Phillipa

It's not dangerous or tricky to re-start like missing a few doses of lithium could be. Just take your next dose now, or if your usual dose is due in four hours take it at the usual time and go back to your normal schedule.

I used to use lamictal- stopped after a year because it didn't help me. But I remember being warned repeatedly that it could get fickle- if you suddenly skip doses after taking highish doses, you can risk seizures, even if you never had a seizure before. It's because it's an anti-convulsant. If you just miss one night I'd either just go back to regular schedule- or much better yet- call pharmacy or doctor for professional advice as to what to do in such a situation.

Lamictal doesn't cause rebound seizures in non-epileptic patients, that occurs more often in with high doses GABAergic anticonvulsants like benzodiazepines.

My package insert from both the manufacturer's sample kit as well as the print out pharmacy both warned that suddenly stopping lamictal could cause seizures in people who have never had them before. Psychiatrist warned the same. They didn't say "every time", they warned it as a possible danger. It is an anticonvulsant.
