Posted by rovers95 on November 20, 2006, at 2:58:35

Well the lamictal and klonopin use makes me more relaxed around the house etc. and more willing to go out and do things......but when i get ther i still get very sick with stress (my threshold seems to be getting lower and lower!!)!!!!

What drugs could make me less stressed..........i mean apart from ketamine which im seriously considering trying again!!

It depends on what you mean by 'stress' I suppose. The adaptogens work very well for this kind of thing:

It's funny you should mention this Meri-Tuuli. I started taking a tonic of adaptogens called Limu Plus - star ingredient Limu Moui - a few days ago and I've been amazed at how 'normal' I've started to feel. It's been a long time...........

I opened a thread on it over on alternative and would appreciate any advice/comments.

Remeron (mirtazapine) is supposed to be good at lowering cortisol levels. I found it did make me calmer but hated the brain fog and tiredness. Weight gain is a major problem. Some tricyclics have similar effects.

There is a long thread on Remeron about this.

I've tried tianeptine Mark and while I had no side effects, it had no apparent effect either as far as I could tell. I was taking it the with the tranquilliser Klonopin, so this may have been masking some of the effects? It is not available in the UK but you can sometimes import it with a pdoc's prescription, or obtain it other ways of course.

Tianeptine has been reviewed quite a lot on the boards here. You may also find some good reviews over at www.remedyfind.com

Good luck.
