It's day 15 of Zoloft and I don't feel a damn difference. I have made myself go back to the gym, I am looking for a new job, I am trying to deal with my problems, but I feel miserable when I wake up and that constant whipsaw anxiety/sadness.
What really bugs me is that Lexapro stopped working for me. I was on it for about a year and a half and I remember the day it kicked in so clearly. I tried it again but it didn't do any good, and now I'm just wishing that Zoloft can do what Lexapro did. But as the time wears on my doubts increase. Anybody have any luck after two weeks with Zoloft? Are you taking more? How long did it take? Thanks.

It is difficult to judge whether or not an antidepressant will be effective so early in treatment. In the best of circumstances, you might begin to respond during the third week. You should give Zoloft at least 4 weeks. Be aware that the improvements might be subtle at first. If you feel even the slightest improvement after 4 weeks, it would make sense to continue treatment.
What dosage are you taking?
I have been on Zoloft for almost 3 weeks. I had been taking 200mg, but I found the amotivational effects to be too debilitating. I cut back to 100mg yesterday because I had to function well enough today to take care of some family business.
Good luck.

I am taking 75 mg. of zoloft. For what its worth I realized I was only on 75 mg since June 6, because before that I was titrating upward. So in reality today is only day nine of the full prescribed dose.
So I'm going to hang on and grit my teeth I guess.
Thanks for the feedback!
