In reply to Day 15 of Zoloft. Discouraged. Should I keep going, posted by h on June 14, 2006, at 14:39:10
> It's day 15 of Zoloft and I don't feel a damn difference. I have made myself go back to the gym, I am looking for a new job, I am trying to deal with my problems, but I feel miserable when I wake up and that constant whipsaw anxiety/sadness.
It is difficult to judge whether or not an antidepressant will be effective so early in treatment. In the best of circumstances, you might begin to respond during the third week. You should give Zoloft at least 4 weeks. Be aware that the improvements might be subtle at first. If you feel even the slightest improvement after 4 weeks, it would make sense to continue treatment.
What dosage are you taking?
I have been on Zoloft for almost 3 weeks. I had been taking 200mg, but I found the amotivational effects to be too debilitating. I cut back to 100mg yesterday because I had to function well enough today to take care of some family business.
Good luck.
