Aside from ect,and maois which ive done, can i even toy the idea someone is willing to try this?
I ask cause i have a cousin who survived 9/11 only months later to be hit by a car and paralyzied from the neck down.

You should be able to find lots of info if you search this site for buprenorphine.

Yes, it is uplifting.
This "war on drugs" mentality is so messed up. Alcohol prohibition got us gangs roaming the streets with automatic weapons (Al Capone, et al). Opiates *can* be abused. So what. They can also be the most therapeutic substance that there is, in all creation. Marijuana, the same. Do you know why marijuana became illegal? It's because the alcohol distillers didn't want their monopoly disrupted by competition. They didn't want to compete with something that grows like a weed. So they made movies like Reefer Madness. And they lobbied the government (read paid the politicians) to retain the monopoly on relaxation aids.
So, what do we have today? We have people spending decades of their lives overcoming the adverse effects of growing in an alcoholic environment. We have horrific automobile accidents. We have massive medical costs. And the violence that arises through the facilitation of this drug, alcohol. And some real fat cats, rolling in money.
Sorry for the soapbox moment, willy.

> LarP.S. Do you know which drug is by far the most likely to be associated with suicide? It ain't Prozac. It's ethanol. Booze. Alcohol. There isn't another drug that even comes close. We're talking almost an order of magnitude greater than all others.
It really upsets me that so much attention is being paid to SSRIs, when right in front of our faces, alcohol is killing people. Willful blindness? WTF?

lol Lar, you're so right. our country accepts all the wrong things. I mean, have you ever heard of a person that is only on mj beating their wife, or doing anything violent for that matter? no, but you hear about it all the time with alcohol. blah.

I know of a guy whose depression is treated with it, he says it works great for him. Good luck
