how clean is desoxyn?

Posted by mike99 on February 8, 2006, at 15:49:56

I often hear how "clean" of a stimulant Desoxyn is (in terms of CNS vs PNS stimulation).

Is this really the case? Does it, for example, have less effects on blood pressure and heart rate than Ritalin...caffeine (coffee, soda)...pseudoephedrine?

another question on des cleanliness

I've never heard of Desoxyn as being referred to as "Des", so I thought maybe I'd start a trend here :-)

Anyhow, my understanding is that des is racemic meth, which has some conversion to racemic amphetamine in the body.

My question is where in the body does this conversion take place? The liver, brain?

The reason I ask is because if it takes place in the liver, then the body is exposed to racemic amphetamine and all it's nasty peripheral effects (?)

BUT, if it takes place solely in the brain, then the periphery is only exposed to meth which has almost no peripheral effects????

(But isn't L-methamphetamine the active component in vick's inhaler and therefore definitely peripherally activating?)

I guess my point is what is the advantage of meth over regular amphetamine if it is converted to amphetamine in the body? And does meth cause increased catecholamine levels in the bloodstream/body?

I wonder if there would be any advantages to isolating just the l-meth component?

Coffee raises blood pressure more than Ritalin.

Dexedrine is stronger than Ritalin.

Desoxyn has the greatest CNS 'awakening effects than any other stimulant', however you MAY have a hard time getting a Doc to script it, cos of it's compound name, alas it is considered by most references as being the best med for Narcolepsy (awakeness) but many say Dexedrine is more pro-social.

Desoxyn is effective for stimulant-tolerant folks, and has been used for over 60 years.

According to Remedyfinds site it scores the highest for ADD/HD disorders so....

If you are looking for a legitimate medical treatment for your concentrating issues, so be it, however it stronger than Dextroamphetamine, and longer lasting, this can be either good or bad!.

Let us know?

Cheers

I'm pretty sure I could get a script for Desoxyn, but because I've had such bad reactions to all the other stims I don't want to push my luck.
