hi everyone,
i've been prescribed a new medicine, and it works, but it gives me these uncontrolled 'shocks' trough my body. I am so tensed when around people, that my body is in constant movement, and the more i pay attention to it, the more shocks i get...
Does anyone also has this problem?? It's really not fun, it scares off all the people.
I think maybe a muscle-calming medecine or something will help, does this exist?

I had something that might be similar when I took Zoloft -- my arms and legs would jerk around, without my being able to control it. It was pretty awful, not only the embarrassment and general discomfort from not being able to control my own body, but also just plain muscle fatigue! My muscles ached because of it.
The worst of it stopped when I stopped Zoloft, but it took a while before it stopped altogether -- months, despite my being on Zoloft only a couple of months.
I think, but am not sure, that it might be dystonia, which I know very little about. I tried to describe it, saying I thought it was akathisia, but was told no -- akathisia is when you move voluntarily because you're too uncomfortable when you try to be still. Dystonia is involuntary muscular contractions/jerks. If you're familiar with myoclonus, that's the closest I can describe it as -- very much like myoclonus, but with more muscular tension both before and after. (My experience with myoclonus has always started with relaxed muscles, and they relax again as soon as it's over. That didn't happen here -- I wanted to and did sometimes cry because my muscles were so tense for so long.)
I know that ain't much help, but at least it gives you a name to try to research, right? Good luck.

What med are you taking, that's causing this problem? I don't want to be making any assumptions, again. ;-)

I do recall having some very acute treatment-emergent side effects, but they settled down over the course of a few doses. I don't recall little shocks. I recall significant activation, including insomnia.
Perhaps you could see if something like your side effect is in this list?

I'd probably describe your experience as a paraesthesia, but I'm not sure.> you use Testosterone to, right larry? Have you never had these tics trough your body?
I'm not using it, because I developed polycythemia. I'm still being monitored by a hematologist, over one year after discontinuation.
I used an injected ester, the enanthenoate. There is a difference in how the testosterone is metabolized, transdermally versus intra-muscular injection. They're different enough to make comparisons difficult.
My side effects virtually disappeared, after a few weeks. I received injections for about six months, on and off (including rechallenge for polycythemia response). By the end, I only noticed the waxing and waning of the testosterone in the sense of sexual responsivity.

sorry but i'm as civil as can be.
i used three doses, but over 6 days, to get adjusted to the medicine.
now i use 25mg per day, it works sort of, but i'm starting to look pale and not so very healthy...
i tested my levels and found out this: my testosterone level is normal but my FSH level is VERY low.(1.5)
i think maybe i would be better off with FSH then, in stead of testosterone, no?

Sarcasm is something that can get you blocked. I didn't appreciate the way you spoke to me. I was with my family. I don't have to explain myself.

Even in the last year, the treatment of male hypogonadism (i.e. low testosterone) is changing. Rather than supplying testosterone, which does nothing but suppress further the already low production of natural testosterone, treatments are tending towards regulatory hormones such as FSH. The focus is not the testicles any more, it moves to the hypothalamus and pituitary. But, if the problem is in the brain glands, then the problem could be more complex, so usually an endocrinologist will do some other tests, to assess those glands' function in other realms, before settling on the specific treatment.
