lowdose ap causes sleep. movement problems?

Posted by iforgotmypassword on April 23, 2005, at 11:34:34

i took 0.5mg (prescribed at 0.5 bid) of risperidone to see if it would help with ruminations. it made me sleep a lot. i woke up early in the morning as i always do (but went to bed very early), and my ruminations were terrible. i was crying a lot and called the distress centre. it was only the first dose, does it take a while to help? i am also having trouble keeping my mouth from grimacing and maintaining a normal posture, though i have had episodes of this on the desipramine alone. i think i started having moving problems with paxil. i never know what to do with these i think doctors just ignore it. i think it could be showing something wrong with my brain and they don't really think theres any problem. what should i do? i have so much trouble expressing myself, i am sorry if i am not making sense.

i have had ad's cause movment disorders...restless legs, facial grimacing, etc. It is a nuisance but there aren't a lot of options as most ad's do that to me. Maybe you would have better luck on a different one.

that i have serious problems with my dopamine system or something definately of that nature. sometimes when im in a bed i totally feel like i am getting parkinson's disease or something. sometimes i really feel like i am going to die. like to paralyse (or to have lost voluntary movement) myself at the bottom of my filling bathtub. i cant stop writhing, moving my mouth around like crazy, getting up to pace like mad (which seems somewhat saner, but can easly lead to my outbursts of anger.) oh god its awful, i dont get the strange jerks in my shoulders and arms often anymore, but i get myoclonus ALL the time. :( i dont know whats wrong with my brain. ive lost most of my youth and now im almost 21 and i have had no life to show for myself, just depression and impairment.

But do the ADs or APs actually help with your ruminations? Because if they didn't....
