To anyone who has borderline personality disorder or 'borderline traits'...........
Have you ever taken Nardil or another MAOI?
Did it..............
Reduce rejection sensitivity?
Reduce anger/hostility/outbursts?
Reduce bitterness or feeling of hatred directed towards yourself or other people?
Reduce sensitivity to criticism?
Allow you to have more stable relationships with other people?
Make you less demanding of other people?
Stabilise or improve your self-image?
Reduce impulsivity?
Reduce self-destructive behaviour?
Improve/stablise your mood?Ed x

Hi Ed.
At one time, it was Parnate that was the MAOI of choice in treating BPD.

Hi jyl,
I'm sorry to hear that it didn't help. Was it Nardil that you tried? ...or another MAOI such as Parnate?
Thank you for your help,
Ed.

Hi Ixus!
>I had a diagnosis of BPD.
My pdoc said that I have borderline traits, but not the full personality disorder.
>Atypical depression/dysthymia has many common symptoms with BPD.
True, I have had atypical depression.
I'm very glad to hear that the Parnate helped. I would very much like to try Parnate.
Thank you Ixus.
Kind regards,
Ed.
