My moods are fairly good and I am sleeping well. The only think I can't shake is this headache and feeling of somebody pusing me.
I'm only taking 25mg. I supposed to be on 100mg. I am a little concerned that more might make me too sedated. I will probably try to go to 50mg at least.

Linkadge,
I am glad to hear that you are continuing to do well on the clomipramine, particularly at such a low dose. I hope the headache and the feeling of somebody pushing you subside.
I had been taking 50mg, and, with the exception of about the first week at the increased dose, I did not feel sedated during the day. I had been taking it in a split dose - one pill at dinner and one pill before bed. So, hopefully you won't experience heavy sedation when you increase your dose to 50mg.
I hope things continue to go well for you. Take good care of yourself.

Linkdage -
It's so uplifting to hear that someone is improving. I remember you were also having a hard time eating ... is that getting any better?Have you always suffered from headaches or is just since you started the Clomipramine?
Hugs,
Maxime

I am so glad to hear that. I long for the days that clomipramine worked for me....it pooped out on me. Aside from weight gain, I had no side effects--it was like taking candy. Shows how different we are....

Clomipramine (Anafranil) is an unusual drug. It has non-linear kinetics. Blood concentrations are not proportional to dose, and the individual plasma concentrations at a given dose cover nearly an order of magnitude, in clinical studies. Be careful with titrating your dose to the effect your receive. Targets (such as 100 mg) may be unreasonable, for you.
It is metabolized via four enzymes, two of which have shown substantial genetic variability (2C19 and 2D6). Your ability to metabolize this drug into its also active metabolites can be substantially different from other people.
What I'm saying is, be careful with the dose. Consider breaking pills, if you do an increase, to make the titration rate slower.
All the best,
Lar

I increased the first dose very slowly. I did so by a quarter of a 25mg pill.
I have some short term memory problems (probably due to the 2a blockade) nonetheless, I am sleeping a little better (probably due to the 2a blockade)
I am still having some weird effects like I call it the residual zap. Where I feel a jerking feeling in my head, sometimes my vision "jumps" during these zaps, and I feel a certain push like a pole up my spine.
One of the other problems is the wide head feeling. I feel like my head is so wide, I feel a pressure on either side of my head. This goes almost instantly after taking a benzodiazapine. After I take a clonazapam I can feel my head srinking from the size of a beach ball to the size of a regular head.
There are also the tall/small sensations. Some days I feel very tall, and others days I feel small. Somtimes I feel myself srinking and growing as I walk. Sometimes I feel as If I grow a metre or two as I walk.
