Hello!
>my doctor doesnt know about it .. i feel i cant trust him sorry..
Is there any chance you could see a different doctor instead? I really think you need to find a psychiatrist that you like and trust.
>the seroquel gives me nightmares.. will this side effect go away?
You took a very high dose before, hopefully you won't get any nightmares this time. You need a doctor who you trust, you need someone to monitor you while you try the Seroquel.
I don't really know anything about asenapine to be honest, it's so new.

Hi Jeroen!
>its dosage is twice a day and it has heavy sedation
You can take it as a single 25mg dose at night for the first week. Then you can increase to 25mg twice daily. When you're on a higher dose, you can take a small(ish) dose in the morning and a higher dose at night eg. if you were taking 400mg/day you could take 150mg in the morning and 250mg at night.
It's difficult to predict whether or not it will cause heavy sedation. It won't be as bad as when you took 400mg! Some people find that the sedation wears off over time.
>there is no weight gain reported on this medicine
It doesn't cause as much weight gain as Zyprexa, some people gain a bit of weight though.
Good luck, I'll be thinking of you :-)

thanks,
was watching television, my eyes rolls up and blink
i am not going to wait 5 to 10 years until a miracle cure shows up
the thing is i loved a girl, i put a year energy in it, then just when my TD happened i fell into depression and 1 month or 3 weeks later she asked to get together. i said no because of my problem, but i definatelly wanted to say yes
2 weeks later she called me she had sex with somebody else that i hatethats second reason i want to kill myself, plus of the tardive dyskinesia
to be true geodon was helping, i felt more energy but the tardive dyskinesia symptoms were unavoidable and not treathable
or dystonia its one of those two

>2 weeks later she called me she had sex with somebody else that i hatePerhaps she was upset because she felt that you had rejected her. Maybe she rang you to tell you that she'd had sex with another man because she was angry. She probably didn't even have sex with him - I bet she just said that to 'punish' you for rejecting her.
You must explain that you refused to get back together with her because you were angry and upset about your TD. I think she will understand because she will know that you have had a hard time lately. I think she might still love you and want to get back together with you but she will still be angry. You need to call her and explain why you refused to get back together with her. Tell her that you still love her and want to get back together with her, you will regret it later if you don't tell her how you feel. Is she still with the man that you hate? I bet she still loves you!

we were good friends, but she rejected my love all the time months until this moment, few weeks later she didnt want it anymore
i even had to go to the police and explain myself. i really feel like killing myself.. the black cloud above me is getting darker and darker... i dont like it either to take seroquel witouth doctor monitoring but i have no choice, my doctor isnt listening, bad experience with psy docs,
i refused to take zyprexa just at the start while i was hospitalized because of bad experiences with my previous psy doc, wich really was not normal!!i have lot of patience with doctors and always been polite, but this has gone too far!!!

Hi,

Do you still think about her all the time? I am sure that you will find a nice girlfriend soon :-)

I wish you were feeling better. You need to stay hopeful about Seroquel. The amantadine doesn't seem to be helping you anymore. Do you want to try an antidepressant like Sipralexa? Please don't hurt yourself, you will find a treatment soon.

If it's that bad, you have to at least try it. Are you getting paranoid? That would be a sign too that you need an antipsychotic. Fondly, Phillipa

i went to the hospital today, im very weak atm, when i am walking to the corridors i feel like i am going to die, my eyes feel weird, i feel bad
so in other words not good at all. i dont like the hospital
my friend got away because he got injections every month of IMPROMEN (bromperidol) for like 3 years, he got muscle spasms also
he asked the doctor i see for help, you know what he said, ill prescribe you some anti depressant, my friend left the hospital for that reason
8 months later i didnt live actually, he was alone at his appartment, suffering from his muscles, been sedated, barelly can walk, hoping it would go away.
at first when my eyes were making aggressive uncontrolled movements i went to the doctor and he said tardive dyskinesia, i said he must be kidding, i read about it on the internet and never known it would happen to me
not with a new drug at lowest dose, new anti psychotic means very low chance of this...
so i was convinced these side effects was temporary and not permanent just EPS, but ive readon geodon cause 50% who take it movement disorders EPS sydrome yes tardive dyskinesia. but halt, i dont just take a drug , ive read 10 positive reactions to GEODON.. YES 10 NOT EVEN 1 negative.. so I WAS 100% UNAWARE OF THIS DANGER AND TIME BOMB I WAS LIVING ON...this drug was hell for me, i felt like garbich on Risperdal high dose, but this drug didnt even gave me tardive dyskinesia an older drug YES!!!
those new chemical engineered drugs like Abilify, Geodon gave me freaking tardive dyskinesia (Abilify) quit it on time
when i didnt had this problem, i woudnt listen to my friend, i said sh1t i hope i will never get this sort of problems.. some taught said yes you will... AND BELEIVE IT OR NOT NOW I HAVE IT!!!god has punished me in several ways, i wont accept it. no matter what, i suffer 6 months live like i dont exist anymore.. i try stay positive but h8ll. when i called Pfizer support some girl said GEODON in a nasty tone to me
like its satans drug... hahaha well satan i shall come and pay you a visit very soon
GEODON IS TRULY EVIL!!!! making a drug where a cure will be over 20 years is definatelly eviland i propably think it has to do with money.
GEODON = expensive

Hi J,
Your current psychiatrist doesn't sound very good at all. I think you need to find a new psychiatrist at a different hospital. You need to find a psychiatrist who will take your TD seriously, you need to find a pdoc who you trust.
Are there any other hospitals nearby? You need a hospital with a psychiatric department.
Best,
Ed.

Hi Jeroen!
>the seroquel tablets have arrived today in the mail
Are they the 25mg tablets?
>i will start taking them tonight!
Will you take half a 25mg tablet? I think that would be best. Please don't take any more than that tonight. Don't forget to answer this question!!!!!!!!
>but i have decided if from now on and within a year i will take overdose sleeping medication
What if it takes longer than a year to find an effective treatment? Don't give up, you're still young! You have your whole life ahead of you, when you find the right treatment you will have a good life.
>I was in love with a girl i really liked, she liked me too. she was SOOOOOOO BEAUTIFULL... SHE WAS A FRIEND.
She sounds lovely :-) You're a nice person, good things will come to you.

Hi Jeroen,
>i want to take 25 mg, i dont see a problem?
Since you're not being monitored by your doctor, I think it would be best to take half a 25mg tablet for the first two nights, just to be safe and to let your body get used to the Seroquel. Then you can increase the dose to 25mg. Please tell me what you decide to do.
>i miss her for 4 months now, she not said a word to me
Why don't you call her? She might be waiting for your call.

Hi,
>ill do that take half tablet but its seroquel fumarate
Yes, Seroquel contains quetiapine fumarate. I suppose you'll need to use a knife to cut a tablet in half.
>i taught those 25 mg tablets were much bigger, its so small is it safe?
The 25mg tablets are small. I just looked in a database and it said that the UK Seroquel 25mg tablets are only 6.1 mm across. In the UK, the 25mg tablets are pink/red. On one side of the tablet it says 'SEROQUEL 25' and the other side is blank. Do your tablets look like this?
>what side effects do i need to be carefull about
Common side effects are drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, increased heart rate, and abdominal (stomach) pain.
Serious side effects are rare. Serious side effects of Seroquel are fainting, neuroleptic malignant syndrome and a reduced number of while blood cells.
> thanks for your help
You're welcome :-) What do your tablets look like?
