I take adderall for adhd and to boost my antidepressants. I take occasional days off of adderall to prevent building up too much of a tolerance. During these days off, my adhd comes back full force, so I was wondering if a diet drug could help, since they are designed to be similar to amphetamines. Specifically, I am curious about Bontril, since it is apparently considered stronger than Phentermine (Phen is a schedule IV drug; Bontril is schedule III). Any experience, ideas, or general input?

This might work, but there is probably a cross tollerance between stimulants. Ie it may work but not help the tollerance issue. People with high tollerance for one stumulant have a high tollerance for another.

a constant low dose of caffine works alright for me when im suddently off dexadrine. i find psudophedrine helps too but it will create a cross tolerence.

I find its all just speed, so you'd probably be defeating the purpose of your days off adderall
