Your mileage is likely to vary, but it did for me. The first couple of weeks, I was having terrible night sweats, and soaking my clothes during the day. That passed after the initial adjustment phase, within about three weeks from the first dose.
I hope that helps.

Racer, how much Cymbalta are you on? Did the sweats get worse at higher doses before you adjusted? At only 30, it's definitely a problem for me. Thanks!

It faded while I was on the 60. I think it was just an adjustment phase for me, combined with a nasty heatwave, and yes it was miserable while it lasted. Had it gone on much longer, I'd have asked the doctor to change to something else.
I hope it's adjustment for you, too.

the sweating definitely wanes. I didn't really experience it acutely at start-up. However, I have noticed feeling less body warmth as an effect of the drug. in a meta-analysis of all the cymbalta drug trials, for the adverse effect of increased sweating, it went from 11.8% reporting this problem for weeks 1-8, to only 4.3% for weeks 9-52. And most of the study subjects actually had higher doses of 80-120 mg. So I think it's safe to say that the effect will definitely decrease somewhat as the weeks pass.

I've been on Cymbalta for two weeks at 30 mg. The first week was horrible as far as sweating goes. I also felt like my temperature was constantly bouncing up and down. Now, two weeks in, the sweating seems to have largely subsided but still happens some. As far as my temperature, I actually feel cool most of the time. A little bit too cool for me right now, but maybe it will equilibriate given more time.

I took Cymbalta 30mgs for 2 weeks and now I am on the third week of 60mgs. I sweat a little at night - but nothing I would attribute to the Cymbalta. Finally a side effect I don't have :)
