Hello all. I've been on Serzone for quite some time with the only new/recent changes to my Rx being the addition of Lexapro (daytime) and Lamictal (night time) .... My pdoc described Lexapro as an assist/lift for depression, with Lamictal being intended to help with racing thoughts/sleep at bedtime.
In the meantime, I've lost weight (great benefit!), but have also realized -- hey. Isn't that kind of an acid trippy feeling in my heart/mouth/gut? I mean, I've felt cranked. Also obsessing over various things (my usual panic about getting/not getting done with various reports for my grad program -- school is way too hard) ... and obsessing over men who've continued to come and go out of my life. Truly, I'm way too busy to be dating at this point ... but getting back to the hyped-up state of affairs -- anyone have comments to share re. above?
As always, many thanks. Love this place and the support we find here.
Happy eggs and bunnies and such. Spring is upon us.

In reply to Lexapro (Or Lamictal?) weight loss/speedy?, posted by Temmie on April 11, 2004, at 14:32:53
I've been on Lexapro about two years, no weight loss. I didn't notice a speedy feeling either. I do tend to obsess about men, but I always did that. Actually, I ruminate much, much less than I used to, now that I am on meds, not sure if that is because of the meds or the therapy, or I am just sick of the drama.
However, I do know someone who said he felt a bit speedy on Lex, but he only tried it for a month or so, and he said it only happened for a few minutes a day. Then he said he started feeling better anyway and decided he didn't need anything.
Well, that is just anecdotal stuff from my own life and friend's life.
This is the end of the thread.
