Has anyone taken Aricept [Alzheimer's] or any anti-Parkinsonians for attention and concentration/other cognitive benefits?
What dosage and what did you think of it?

> What dosage and what did you think of it?I took it (the lowest dose, I think) to counter the cognitive side-effects I was having from Zoloft. It seemed to help a little, not a lot. My pdoc then switched me from Zoloft to Remeron; it was a good switch -- worked great for my depression/anxiety; no cognitive side-effects (did gain weight though, can't win 'em all.)
Incidentally, I saw your other post above about Adrafinil. I tried that too -- got horrible headaches from it. Stopped taking it after a few days; the headaches were definitely tied to the drug. Provigil (Aricept) didn't do that to me.

Sorry. It was Aricept (not Provigil) that I was referring to.

Parkinson's meds are pretty much the exact opposite, they are either dopaminergic or anticholinergic.

My doctor mentioned both, so either way I am interested in finding out what other people's experiences are with either.
This is the end of the thread.
