Hello, I would like to know if benzodiazepine´s effects are dose dependent.
I mean if e.g. Klonopin or Xanax have different effects at different doses (like some antidepressants have, like Effexor at higher doses also acts on noradrenaline) or is it just more or less GABA enhancement?.

I am not well acquainted with this topic, but my understanding is that it depends on which benzo we're talking about. I do know that some benzos (diazepam in particular) produce "paradoxical" aggression at high doses. Insofar as most effects are concerned, I believe they generally just plateau. That is, there is only so far that the GABA-A receptors can be "bent open" by the BZD receptors.
Barbiturates; now there's a different story ...
