Hi,
I switched from parnate to nardil, and I feel very nauseous. Parnate didn't really make me lose alot of weight, it surpressed my appetite to a point, but nothing major.
Nardil is making me feel ill, like I am ready to throw up anytime. I am not complaining, I know side effects are part of the territory, but while researching nardil, I came across so many reports of hunger and weight gain, has anyone else experienced this?
BTW, my dose is 45mg right now.
Thank you

> Nardil is making me feel ill, like I am ready to throw up anytime.I had this a little bit early in Nardil therapy. Just a bit nauseous, not too bad.

Then, around, 8- 10 weeks it started really increasing. Especially for chockies. I would eat (and still sometimes do) a LOT of chocolate. I developed a pot belly which became worse with Zyprexa.
So, yeah, Nardil can, and does a lot of the time, increase appetite, esp for sweets. And yes, there can be some weight gain, not usually too mammoth but.

Well, I have read alot about that, it is Parke-Davis, i am in Canada, but the pills are bright orange, with PD more engraved in them, no coating, almost look like a chewable vitamin c, so I am not sure if it is the old or new.
I am not too concerned about weight gain, I would much rather just feel better honestly, I just started a couple of days ago, so I know I am looking at a couple of months and possible dose increases, been on a few ad's in my life, so I know the drill.
Hopefully I don't become a mammoth:)
