probably SSRI apathy, I'm on celexa too, and have the same sort of deal.

From what I've heard SSRI's + low dose of Effexor are great for apathy, but most doctors seem to think these drugs work well enough by themselves.

I concure, don't have much apathy without meds. Especialy with zyprexa and then on with celexa.

I wonder if you took one wellbutrin SR befor bed, would you have an easyer time getting up in the morning?

Man if you take it all in the morning, you will just sleep all day, no motivation in the day, its fine if you are doing nothing, but if you want to get out and get a job you should only take the sleep meds in the evening, ie: zyprexa, celexa. Take the stims in the morning.

thats some good advice dude..... but right now i just want to cut back on my sleeping hours... and i'm still sleeping 12 hours a day so i think it must be my state (mild depression or SSRI/antipsychotic apathy) and not a direct effect of the zyprexa itself .... remember i thought it was zyprexa causing sleepiness, BUT after going 5 mg -> 2.5 mg and taking it in the morning instead of at night my sleep is still the same

i wonder if it's common to feel this apathy on celexa or if it's cause of the zyprexa

Your depressed1!? Arn't you, take wellbutrin 300 a day. Thats what you need! Nice happy wake up in the morning wellbutrin.

Even if you do get to buffalo and get a month supply of Abilify, can you afford to go back every couple of months for a refill, no insurance to cover it?

I think it is possible to feel apathy from celexa, I think its also posible to feel apathy from a reduction in zyprexa. Just today I was falling asleep on the couch and just didn't want to get up, I think I have this problem when I reduce zyprexa, sort of layzness and not wanting to go anywhere, I actualy had the same problem on abilify.

I would only call it SSRI apathy if it was constant.
If it is just in the AM, then to me this is sedation. I am much this way every morning for 30 mins and it lifts and i am fine all day. I have had AD induced apathy and it was 24/7, as is depression.

question for cybercafe

I was just wondering what your reasons for

Thanks

What did you do for SSRI apathy? Change AD's? Augmentation? This has happened to me on Zoloft, Effexor XR, Celexa and Lexapro. Right now I only take clonazepam but sleep is beginning to indicate potential depression coming. Maybe I am paranoid that it will return. I have been off Lexapro since March. The pdocs just upped dosages when the SSRI apathy appeared. At the time it was diagnosed as poop out but looking back I feel confident it was SSRI apathy.
Thanks,
JaneB

Sometimes I wonder if I should go back to Effexor. Are you able to sleep with Effexor or do you need to take something also for sleep?
Thanks,
Jane

yes, 15 mgs. Over the years to moved from
using TCA's a sole treatment to Effexor
and TCA's (to fix poop-out but still using TCA's for sleep)
to Effexor and Remeron (to fix the flat affect
from the TCA's)

if abilify puts me back to work i can afford it .... we'll have to see

i just got back today actually, drove down there and got 1 month worth of samples (30 mg) which is 4 months worth of samples if i decide to take a low dose like 7.5 mg :)

Don't pay any attention to me! Just take a low dose in the morning, like 7.5mg(1/4), take a zyprexa if needed. Don't pay any attention to posible side-effects, just take the drug, assume everything is wonderful.

Tell me how you are doing.
