As we all know, Zoloft is an SSRI. However, Zoloft also happens to have *some* affinity for the dopamine transporter as well. I'm wondering why no p-docs have tried patients on trials of high-dose Zoloft, say 400 mg or so.
It could be an option for treatment resistant patients, who need a dopaminergic "kick", as well as serotonergic action.

In reply to High-dose Zoloft - interesting possibility., posted by Caleb462 on June 17, 2003, at 14:08:22
I know what you are saying, but, in my case, 25mg Zoloft worked as good as 200mg! It was truly a mediocre drug for me, but of course everyone is different.
