High-dose Zoloft - interesting possibility.

Posted by Caleb462 on June 17, 2003, at 14:08:22

As we all know, Zoloft is an SSRI. However, Zoloft also happens to have *some* affinity for the dopamine transporter as well. I'm wondering why no p-docs have tried patients on trials of high-dose Zoloft, say 400 mg or so.

It could be an option for treatment resistant patients, who need a dopaminergic "kick", as well as serotonergic action.
