...and which drugs are responsible for creating it? Over a year ago I took Geodon for awhile, then I took a small amount of Risperdol for a short time. It's been a long time since I took either, but lately I notice that as I'm falling asleep I'm jerking so hard I eject my cat off my stomach. It seems more exaggerated than usual, but is that necessarily a symptome of T.D.? And if so, what would it mean? I'm just deciding that I can't have it, no matter what, but I'd still like to know. Thanks.

In reply to Tardive Dyskinesia: What Is It?, posted by kara lynne on February 17, 2003, at 12:30:46
What you have described isn't tardive dyskinesia. Tardive dyskinesia involves continous movement of a part of the body. Early signs are repitive tongue movements. Basically tardive dyskinesia involves continous movement of upper parts of the body. Or at least this is how I understand tardive dyskinesia.
This is the end of the thread.
