> jylAre you sure he didn't mean to write "Sour Patch Kids" on your script instead? Because popping sour patch kids always helps me when I'm on the edge. Although I'm not sure of any double blind controlled placebo crossover studies that may prove this.
oh yeah I give antipsychotics to my dog whenever he tries to bark. Works wonders on the kids I babysit, although that stiff tilt of the neck thing is always hard to explain to the parents when they get home...
Yeah, try a benzo if you can, unless you're dealing with psychotic stuff or benzos don't work on you...

The term "pop" is most often used in conjunction with abuse of drugs and can therefore be termed "odd" when coming from your doc. I would suggest you let your doc know how this made you feel and talk it out. You may be just the person to educate him/her regarding this.
I take Seroquel 25 mg at bedtime and have done so successfully for over a year now. I experimented with 25-100 mg and have found that if I take Seroquel on an empty stomach I have much better results with onset of action at only 25mg. I have never developed a tolerance.
I was also told that I could take an extra Seroquel if my anxiety got too overwhelming during the day. So far I have only had to do this on a couple of occasions. The results were that I went to sleep and woke up much less anxious. I have to stay away from benzo's as I always end up taking much more than I should, most likely my addictive background.
Hang in there justyourlaugh.

Inbetween pyschiatrists, my GP did the same thing,
and he's a really smart guy. He wouldn't prescribe Seroquel on a regular basis because I needed to find a pychiatrist to do that, but he let me have 100 mg Seroquel as needed for anxiety,
and this worked out pretty well for me. He didn't want to give me benzos because of my drug abuse history, and that was probably wise.
