The term "pop" is most often used in conjunction with abuse of drugs and can therefore be termed "odd" when coming from your doc. I would suggest you let your doc know how this made you feel and talk it out. You may be just the person to educate him/her regarding this.
I take Seroquel 25 mg at bedtime and have done so successfully for over a year now. I experimented with 25-100 mg and have found that if I take Seroquel on an empty stomach I have much better results with onset of action at only 25mg. I have never developed a tolerance.
I was also told that I could take an extra Seroquel if my anxiety got too overwhelming during the day. So far I have only had to do this on a couple of occasions. The results were that I went to sleep and woke up much less anxious. I have to stay away from benzo's as I always end up taking much more than I should, most likely my addictive background.
