Valerian tea and celexa any complications?

Posted by genelo on October 16, 2002, at 16:46:17

I am currently taking only 2.5 mg of celexa and was wondering if anyone has tried valerian tea while taking celexa? I understand the tea is great for sleep onset (my major problem) but I didn't want to take anything that could cause complications.

Thanks for the help.

No, i wouldn't worry about complications at all.
The only thing that may happen is drowsiness which is what you're after I believe.

I'm highly anxious and my body chuckled at my attempt to calm it with valerian tea after years of benzo use!
It does work for some though. If it doesn't try combining valerian with lemon balm (these are also available in tablet and tincture)I find valerian tea tastes like mold.
Calcium chelate and Magnesium are also effective
in a 2-1 ratio.

No, If it works its probably ok,

I took the two together with no
interactions. Didn't do much however.
