I've always wondered why I got a placebo
effect on sustained release depakote when
*every* other anti-convulsant did something?
The only thing the depakote did was give me
a pain in my side and turn my stools green. Is this an indicator of some sort of metabolism
problem? I always thought about taking depakene
just as an experiment to see if it would also
be a placebo..-john

I was thinking I could take some of my depakote
pills and put them in the coffee grinder.
I believe that would scramble the binders
enough to free up the therapeutic compound for
depekene-ish like absorbtion.Any thoughts?

Hi John,Just crack'em in two. That will do the trick. I have chopped 500mg Depakote tabs in half (pdoc told me it was ok). You will just get a more rapid absorption from your stomach-you might get some nausea.
