depakote placebo effect

I've always wondered why I got a placebo
effect on sustained release depakote when
*every* other anti-convulsant did something?
The only thing the depakote did was give me
a pain in my side and turn my stools green.

Is this an indicator of some sort of metabolism
problem? I always thought about taking depakene
just as an experiment to see if it would also
be a placebo..
