I am currently taking depakote and lithium for bipolar 2 disorder, but the depakote has been working to suppress some of my migraine pain. My doctor and I have been talking about replacing depakote with topamax because of the typical weight issue, but I'm wondering if there's any indication that topamax works for migraine. Any luck with it?

Hi - just thought I'd mention that Neurontin took care of the chronic migraine, and now any occasional ones are easily treated with Imitrex. My dx: BipolarII, TLE, migraine, Chronic Fatigue
Good luck,
Zo

I couldn't think, or even spell simple words for a while. It was horrible! And as far as the weight loss, I only lost about 5 lbs, so it wasn't worth it for me.
