During the last two or three weeks I have become increasingly agitated. I take depakote and risperdal.
Could the depakote cause this reaction? Would an increase in my risperdal help with the agitation?

Yes, Depakote can cause agitation. For me, all the mood stabilizers except for gabapentin caused agitation.
Risperdal is nice for combatting the agitation, but the restless legs syndrome, weight gain, or a number of different side-effects might render it ineffective. But then there is always Zyprexa, Seroquel, or the new Geodon. I took Zyprexa for four months to combat agitation on Wellbutrin, and I never had the weight gain or sedation side-effects.

Risperdal itself will occasionally produce anxiety and agitation, especially early in treatment.
