Hi all. I was on Prozac (20 mg/day) for about 3 months which was GREAT for my PMS, but lack of libido/reaching orgasm was too much for me. Switched to Celexa (20 mg/day) and have experimented taking it during various times of the day, but after 1 month I'm still VERY sleepy all the time (could sleep 24 hours/day). Libido is still intact, but orgasm reaching is falling...
The weirdest thing is my DREAMS. It's getting to the point where I can't tell the difference between reality and dreamworld. Sounds kooky, but it's very disturbing. Because I sleep so much (I'm a student and can nap a lot) I get seriously confused about whether or not something was a dream, because it was SO real. I never dreamt much before Celexa, and now I have one long-running dream every time I sleep. Anyone had this? It seems to be getting worse --- help!

I am a student on a Tricyclic (Clomipramine) 20mg and am having dreams where when I am sleeping, they seem too real. I've only had this dream thingy since starting my antidepressant in Jan or shortly thereafter. It's a side effect, nothing wrong with you, I just hope that once you, I or anyone else w/these dreams finish the treatment on antidepressants, the dream stuff will go away too. Not all antidepressants cause these dreams. Prozac (an SSRI) shouldn't do this, usually, tricyclics do this dream stuff to you. Perhaps your doc should give u a "weekend break" so that when u want to reach orgasm, you could... or your doc could prescribe Viagra?

Perhaps your doctor could put you on methylphenidate, pemoline, or dextroamphetamine. I wonder why a complete change from Prozac to Celexa was needed when other measures to defeat sexual side-effects could have been used (buproprion, methylphenidate, buspirone, or medication holidays).
