I applaud your horrific efforts and appreciate you showing the much maligned Frankenstein more in the light of Mary Shelley's story.

Truly a delight! Thanks for taking me back to my childhood, watching all of those old horror movies. I can't wait to share this page with my daughter...she's starting to get into these movies and thought it was just me.......
You always write eloquently here and you have done so with real insight and great humor on your on site.
Looking forward to more!

So that is what you have been up to lately!!
What fun! I laughed out loud--just ask the boy at the terminal next to me.
BTW, the witch on the broomstick--exactly what is she doing? ;^)

A question for you. I am giving a GAD presention to about 40 to 50 health nurses, psych nurses and therapists. I was told that I shouldn't dress up because it would be professional (like that's going to stop me). I was wondering if you could help with a costume idea. I was going to do the regular hippie thing (it's so easy), but I was thinking I could dress like the other presenter (a psychiatrist). He always wears sweaters and has a close shaven beard. The sweater I can do, but I know I couldn't grow a decent beard in time (fuzz and acacia gum work wonders, though) and I don't want to shave a little circle in the top of my head.
Do you have any ideas? Most of the nurses know me and will take it in stride, but it's the others that I want to (for lack of a better word) shock.
Thanks - Cam.

You could try Harpo Marx. That way, nobody will ever know whether or not you know what the hell you are talking about. That is, of course, unless there is some wise-ass in the audience who understands your particular dialect of obsolete taxi-horn.

How about a straight-jacket with a bow tie?
You could also use some sort of walkman or small tape recorder like some sort of portable monitor with some wires coming out of it that attach three or four phony "electrodes" to your head.
You could also take along several large jars of "pills" made of different colored candies. Just set them and a glass of water on or by the podium or location you'll be speaking from...just to enhance the effect.
All you need are:
1) A Borrowed straight-jacket
2) A bow tie
3) A couple of dollars worth of candy pills
4) Some jars
5) A small electronic device with a belt hook
6) Three or four thin wires
7) Some scotch tape
8) A straight face...and voile, you have a real cheap, easy to assemble Halloween outfit guaranteed to shock the pants offa those folks and give your friends a lifetime smile!
Better hurry though...Halloween is here. ;-)
