A Few Words To Dusty
-------------------------Dusty, my friend; Dusty, my dear;
What a strange, funny mixture - Desire and Fear.
Sex can be easy, and certainly hot,
But it's far more than this, these feelings I've got.
Emotions were gushing, beautiful and new,
A beginning so special, for both me and you.
But now times grow different,
As feelings do too.
And we wonder what feelings we can count on as true.
If this is love, then what of a future?
And what of a future without such a love?
These serious thoughts can haunt, plague, and scare.
They beg you to act in ways you don't dare.
So dare you do not.
Be sure that you don't.
It's time to close up now.
But your heart says "I won't!"
So the struggle continues - between heart, mind, and soul,
While your "Voices Of Reason" establish their goal.
And yet,
A time may come when a freedom appears,
A freedom to choose by choosing not.
And your mind will relinquish its fears to your heart.
And you will finally know what Dusty wants.
