How empty it feels to be removed from existance,
Like a mispelled word or gramatically incorrect sentence.
Erased entirely, the leavings swept off the page,
Your keyboard a tool used to vent your rage.
Backspace, cancel, delete, hit escape,
The fragile heart offered so cruely raped.
Deleted from your life like a scribble with a pen,
Never to acknowledge me ever again.
With a flip of a switch, you turned out the light,
Oh the power to forget and not lay awake dying at night.
