I cannot speak for cockeyed, for I am not him.
I am not sure if you were responding to me or him, but I feel the need for clarity.I did not post to offend, only to offer my condolences and support to cockeyed for his response to you. Maybe I should have just shut up.
In other words.........
I can't relate to the song, I haven't heard it, I can only relate to the idea of "talking to bare the soul", in which I feel there are so many things said and not done. So many feelings revealed but not shown. In other words, I agree with cockeyed, for me "talk is cheap" So often, people (in my experiences) talk a good game, but don't show it. I have been told how beautiful and meaningful and special I am to someone, yet he didn't mean it because he didn't stick around. I have had beautiful poetry written for me by someone who on most other occassions has cussed me out, called me names and seriously hurt my pride and self esteem. So for me, talking is what I yearn to receive or engage in, yet, not what seems to matter in the end when the actions are so profoundly the opposite.Just me rambling.
Sorry I got in the middle of this.
