personally, I cringe at the idea of being smarter... if I were DUMBER, I wouldn't recognize snide remarks, should haves, et cetera...
but, back to the original thread... YOU are the muse, always. Whoever it is that you shine on to bring life to them doesn't much matter. All of the love, all of the dynamics are from you.
