Your post made me think of cultures and language .. what's important in one culture, describes their language. I mean, it's what their language is composed of, you know? So if a culture is very "feeling", they will have a huge array of words and expressions designed to convey all their levels of feeling.
If it's nature, then there will be tens of ways to express the look and feel, the experience of, for example, snow.
English itself is an extremely restricted language. We're all doing very well, I think, despite its limitations. It's why the great writers are so incredibly satisfying, and why one translation of War and Peace is better than another .. I gotta check and see which translation I have, because I found this one unreadable. And I paid a lot of money for it (sigh).
