She was the universe, my life to me
The sky, the water in the turquoise sea
The cheerful sun on a summer day
How I wish she was always that way
But she could be as dark as the blackest night
And I so wished she would be alright
But there's just some things that we can't control
I didn't know-I gave my soul-but I had to let go
Now alone, I wonder, and I'm just lost
Was all we shared even worth the cost
I feel my emotions have been sheared in two
I gave it my all and my love was true
She was the universe, my life to me
