Blue and Green

BLUE AND GREEN

He longed to be an artist
With liquid words flowing free
He longed to be transparent
And oh, so easy to read

Purple shades cover blue and green
Blue and green, below the earth
Below the earth, the darkness dwells
The cast bronze sound of sullen bells

The purple haze, enveloping fog
He longed to see for days too long
And he knew it there-because he could see
The diamond blue light, covering me.
