My candle burns too hot
It’s wax runs over my skin
Blistering me, hurting me
The wick is too long
The flame reaches too high
The smell of tallow reeks
Faster, faster it melts
Burning down, burning low
So bright is the flame
But too bright is the flame
That is about to burn out
The wax runs
The flame reaches higher
Higher
Higher
...
The wax slows now
It is not so hot anymore
It cools on my skin
The flame is normal
It doesn't rage
The flame is weaker
The wax stops flowing
The flame grows dim
...
