What did I do Wrong?!

My mother left us when I was a girl...
I was 15, she would have left sooner I'm sure but she waiting until I was "old" enough
She didn't say anything...just l e f t.
8 years later, I still go through that day
She phones on holidays - sometimes
I tried but gave UP.
She WORKS WORKS WORKS.
Doesn't care about my life...
I say "I love you" when i get the nerve...
she doesn't.
It's hard to pretend that it doesn't hurt.
It does. Oh god it hurts.
What did i do wrong?
