poem....choice

Posted by thinkfast on January 19, 2004, at 6:04:18

Shall I rest and let my guard down, not opposing?
Verify the inability to control reason
Finding sanctuary here among the battle grounds
Breathing in that whole I’ve come to hate
And be one in the same of hypocritical stances
At that grasp into the sky, the sole experiment dies
Attempting to understand infinite complexes
Hung precariously throughout dark skies within decision
Burdened choices for equally misunderstood realities
Choice summons confusion
I plead for distant, relating perspectives
Complementary ideas of a prophet forever gone
Laid the projectile unto his head
He alone grasps this death in long
Still motions in a gentle manor to the chasm before
I cry for no ending this way in contradiction
Insignificant cold space, small but opening
Sensing dimensional planes emitting thousands, or one door
Descended the stairs of my conscience
Awaiting are clammy palms welcoming the illusion
Because no one can tell me if it’s real
Only that it doesn’t, or shouldn’t matter
Progression of an un-comprehended belief
Which was not aware I’d already chosen
Simple is the arbitrary one
