Made two impossible deadlines

Posted by Dinah on November 3, 2006, at 9:27:17

And my husband looked at me and quoted one of the last lines of Smokey and the Bandit. Something about double or nothing you run up to Boston and bring back some clam chowder for me and my daddy. In eighteen hours.

Grin. It was funnier when my husband remembered the exact words, and had the accent right.

He could have added that he'd put $500 on the Bandit. That'd have been a nice show of faith.

However, my husband was right. The next impossible deadline will be looming, and I need to not relax and recover from this one, but get back on the road.

"We're going to do what they say can't be done. We got a long way to go and a short time to get there."

(I really need to reevaluate my lifestyle and goals.)
