> Hey- I lost the weight two ways. First, I know I ate less because of the nausea. Second, most of the weight came off because I no longer craved chocolate! I had been eating a BIG bag of kisses almost every night. I am surprised I didn't look like a big Hershey Kiss! I have been slowly incorporating exercise into my life lately. It feels good and I know it helps me continue to lose.I am also really careful about what I eat. Being drug free for the first time in eight years has been so empowering. I feel totally in control. I only want healthy things in my body. I love it.
> I wish you well, the withdrawal was difficult, but as I look back on it, I am glad it was hard. I know now that medications will only be my last resort, after seeing how they took over my body and mind. I also must say that I couldn't have gotten better with out them though, I'm just glad I've been able to move forward.

I still hope to avoid the nausea, but who knows what will be once I'm off the medicine completely. I completely understand the empowered feeling you speak of - being "drug free" for the first time in 17+ years is something I look forward to and know I'll have to work hard to obtain. I wonder what being on this medication for so many years has done to my body, my organs, etc. Although I may not be able to remain off medicine forever, at least I know I'll have other options that aren't as dangerous as Nardil and that alone is a good feeling.
