For someone who has been on Clonazepam for about 6 weeks (1mg) and then switched to 20mg of valium which kind of bounced around a lot from 20mg to as low as 2.5 mg, for several months and is currently at 17mg at bedtime, what is a good withdrawal schedule. I was thinking maybe a mg every 3-5 days. Sleep had been a big issue for me but last night was very good and this is while also tapering seroquel. Down to 50 mg of seroquel tonight, Had only been on it for a couple of weeks at 200mg max and then began tapering at 25mg per night. Pdoc said I could come off it faster if I wanted but I thought I would do it more gradually.
I have taken valium and clonazepam and temazepam in the past but have not had serious difficulties withdrawing. But my depression keeps returning with a vengence during the past 6 months. Been on a variety of drugs - Nortriptyline has been the standard for me but recent events have required the augmentation with another drug (i.e. seroquel)
but that drug especially concerns me. The nortriptyline is at a therapeutic dose for me now so it's just dealing with the shakiness.Having a lot of memory problems, difficulties concentrating. I don't know if it is because of the cummulative effect of not having slept well, the drugs, the depression or combination.
Wonder how others who have withdrawn from valium got through it. Please only positive responses, thanks.
