> Hi, I have been on 300 mg. of wellbutrin for about two months.....it was causing me too much anxiety, so my pdoc, told me to just stop it.....I asked if I should be weaned off, and she said, no, that stopping wellbutrin, shouldn't cause any big withdrawal symptoms......my pharmacist, said maybe insomnia, irritability, or anxiety, but nothing like the nausea and vomiting I experienced coming off of cymbalta. Anyone experience this, coming off wellbutrin cold turkey, w/out any problems? I am so scared.
Yeah, I don't recall any great withdrawal problems -- it was causing a burning head sensation at night and racing thoughts and possible very minor hairloss (or maybe genetics). I think it was lowered fairly quickly. I assume you're talking SR/XR.But if it was helping depression even if it was causing anxiety you may experience rebound depression, so that is more of a concern I would think. A different plan to go in, perhaps Luvox/Paxil or Cymbalta or something else, or whatever you and your doctor come up with. Be prepared for that to happen and I'm sure there are some nice people here you can talk to if you get symptoms again before you see your doctor again.
