Is this depakote withdrawal?

dx: mild cyclothemia, Anxiety Disorder, ADD


I'm tapering (not completely taking it away) my depakote. I have been on 1250mg daily, and went down to 1000mg a day. The first 2 days or so of that I felt EXTREMELY irritable, depressed, all around not good! That was 3 days ago now. Today (3 days into 1000mg I feel much better). Was that because of coming down from depakote? Thanks.
