Yes. But before I did that I discussed with my therapist my comittment to maximize the chances of successfully stopping taking Zoloft, the pros and cons, possible emotional and physical side effects etc. With my meds I discussed how to tapper off. She told me that 200mg is about the maximum does she recommends. Considering I'd been on the max dose for nine years and the fact that I have been emotionally stable for the last three years... we figured it would be OK to go from 200 to 100 in one bold move but to stay there for a good long time. Which I did, and I am glad I did. I am finding the move from 50 mg to zero mg harder than from 200 to 100.
