Hi Everyone,
I thought I was in for better times this week, because my psychiatrist agreed to let me stop taking Antabuse (bad stuff!) and start taking Campral. But now that I've read up a little more on this drug, I've found that one of the "rare" side effects is sudden death!
Huh? Most meds have some pretty bizarre side-effects listed in the "rare" column. Until Campral, the only one I ran across was Lamictal (the rare rash that could turn fatal). I never took Lamictal, though. I AM taking Campral, and I could be described as the nervous type.
Does anyone else know about this? The various drug descriptions I've read don't go into detail about the circumstances of sudden death in users of Campral. What other conditions do the "rare" patients have? Does anything place a patient at higher risk for this side effect?
Thanks to all,
Reggie BoStar
