> why is it that that some substances seem to spur addictions in some people but not others? for example, there isn't a day that goes by that i don't wish i could smoke myself stoned out of my gourd but at the same time, alcohol holds no temptation for me at all. i usually don't even want to drink more than a couple of drinks or drink for more than a couple of days at a time. i get sick of the taste no matter what the drink. pot, on the other hand, i could smoke 24/7. any ideas?
Smokey,
Be thankful you are dependant on the lessor of the two. Take it from the 'British medical Journals' 'The Lancet'- "the smoking of Marijuana, even long term, is not harmfull to health"Marijuana is nowhere near as likely as Alcohol to produce dependency, and doesn't damage every bodily organ as, Industrial Solvent-sorry Alcohol does.
OZZY- had it right in 1982 when he wrote 'Demon Alcohol' a drug that has seriously damaged his health and Central Nervous System- and a Drug he struggles with daily, not to consume until he blacks out.
