60mg a day! That's a lot, no wonder you're experancing bad side effects. Adderall is a potent drug and common side effects are racing heart (which is why you would feel like that). I was taking 60mg a day and I would get very sick feeling, currently I'm taking 20mg a day and what a differance it makes! I was taking the XR but didn't like it at all, taking 10mg twice a day is far more effective than the XR. And you don't want to break the capsuls, they are time released and could be harmful to you. You may want to tell your doctor how you are feeling on the meds, if he's being arrogant about it then find a new doctor. It's very hard to find a good doctor in this field.
Be careful, Adderall is highly addictive. Check your resting pulse throughout the day and give those numbers to your doctor. Mine almost doubled at times. Take care.
