Nothing weird at all.
I realized a few years back that I had no idea what existed in this world, nor what interested me, so I decided to start taking some classes at a local junior college. My plan was simple: if it looked interesting to me, I'd take it, and I'd see where that led me.
And -- now I know what I want to do when I grow up. (In fact, one of the best pieces of advice anyone ever gave me was from my therapist: when I said I wanted a referral to a good career counselor, she recommended I take one of the career counseling classes at the school. Best thing I ever did -- all the assessments we took actually guided me towards one of those things I'd always wanted to do, and never thought I could.
So, nothing weird. Entirely the opposite -- probably the best thing I can think of for you to do. I wish you the very best with it.
